70th Anniversary of the Battles of Saipan, Tinian [1944-2014]

Preparations are now in full swing as Saipan gets ready to host the biggest event of the year: the 70th anniversary of the Battles of Saipan and Tinian.

Veterans and families on the mainland United States or elsewhere who are interested to come and join us on this historic occasion may contact www.miltours.com or www.valortours.com.

The festivities kick off on June 6th culminating in the ceremony at the American Memorial Park honoring those who served and those who survived the war. A parade is set for June 15th.

Civilians, military personnel from all branches, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and supporters are encouraged to come to Saipan. It may be the last major commemoration of this crucial battle with WWII veterans in attendance. It may be an excellent opportunity to express gratitude and honor those who served.

Together, let us be reminded of how thousands of brave men and women, civilian or military, Japanese, American, or Pacific islander, struggled to gain peace.
